Aethalometer® High Range Model AE90
The AE90 High-Range Aethalometer measures optical absorption by suspended aerosol particles at a wavelength of 880 nm (IR), quantitative for the mass of ‘Black’ Carbon. A dual configured system is also available for tailpipe monitoring (ie. blue vs. black smoke) and combustion efficiency. The dual wavelength configuration is also helpful for providing source information in high concentration areas with multiple carbon particle sources (ie. underground coal mines).
The AE90 can be configured with a heated sample probe for direct emissions monitoring. This instrument is used for diesel exhaust, industrial emissions (coal-fired combustors) and applications monitoring.
